My friend Kyle shared his mom’s recipe & here’s my adaptation.

A tip:  dont mash too much. The mixed texture of some whole beans helps. I might also try using some bulgur wheat and (who knows) maybe even some cilantro next time!

Can black beans
1/2 can chick peas
1 roasted beet, grated
1-2 roasted portobello cap
1/4 cup ground cashew
1 cup-ish breadcrumbs
1/2 red onion
1 egg
Some cloves of pressed garlic
1 TBS mexican hot sauce
Some ketchup
1/2 TBS cumin
Some dried oregano
Pepper & salt
